Could you lead a growing and successful charity?
The People’s Kitchen provides a safe haven for our friends; the homeless and disadvantaged people of Newcastle. From our headquarters on Bath Lane, Newcastle, we provide ‘friendship and food’ to more than 1,000 people each year, including serving up to 150 hot meals a day, 365 days a year.
We are looking for new trustees to work with us to grow the People’s Kitchen, and develop and deliver our exciting plans for the future, so that we can increase the number of people we support and the range of services we provide.
As well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills and personal or professional experience of the challenges faced by our friends, we are particularly looking for prospective trustees with skills and experience in:
- Health and Safety / Risk Management
- Communications and marketing
However, prospective trustees with other skills and experience, particularly in leading charities or businesses, should also apply as we are seeking to create a diverse board.
Trustees will need to commit at least one day per month and in return will receive ongoing training and support.
For further information please contact Michael.Spriggs@peopleskitchen.co.uk.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on November 27th and shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet the existing trustees in December or January at The People’s Kitchen.
Why not join us on our journey?
