Nepacs is a charity which supports a positive future for prisoners and their families in the north east.

The Nepacs youth projects provide a unique opportunity for young people who are visiting family members in prison to relax, have fun, chat about their concerns with a trusted adult and feel less isolated and stigmatised.  This is a service is supporting young people visiting the prison at weekends and through school holidays.

The Youth Project Worker will develop and support a team of volunteers, and will facilitate activities for young people waiting to go into visits; provide activities for young people in the visits hall, and assist with outreach activities to reduce young people’s self-confidence and emotional well-being by encouraging peer support.

Nepacs are also looking to appoint a Visits Services Play Worker to work across HMP Holme House and HMP Kirklevington.  The post holder will organise play activities and provide child support for families visiting prison.
