Youth & Community Workers
Various contract lengths, Monday to Friday (weekend & evening flexibility essential)
£18,750 per annum pro rata (Pay review pending)
Fixed term contracts for 1 year with potential extension

Edberts House is a vibrant community organisation based in East Gateshead. We are currently managing four projects (Edberts House, Pattinson House, our Community Linking Project and also our inter-agency project Beacon Lough East). Our vision is to make the communities within which we are based happier, healthier, friendlier places to live. The charity builds the capacity of local people across Gateshead through the provision of courses, person-centred support, community events and activities.
These posts will be based in our community houses in the East of Gateshead. The post-holders will report on a day-to-day basis to our Community Development Workers and will initially be line managed by the Head of Community Development & Engagement who oversees all Community Development undertaken by Edberts House community projects.
You will work across our community projects with local oversight groups to maintain, develop and contribute to all aspects of community development. This will include community engagement, facilitating courses and events, maximising use of community houses and other local spaces. You will have experience of working with children and young people as well as adults and you will support the development and delivery of inclusive activities and services for all members of the community.
An enhanced DBS is required for these posts
