Job Title: Youth Support Worker (5 vacancies available)
Salary: £16,822 pro rata per annum
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Temporary until 1st March 2021 initially
Responsible to: Service Coordinator/ Group Work Lead
The Junction are a respected charity striving to make a difference to the lives of local children, young people and their families across the Tees Valley. Originally founded in 1991 we have a long history of supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our community and we are looking for passionate and committed people to join our team to support the life changing work we do.
We are one of the largest local charities supporting children and young people with a dedicated team of passionate professionals, from a range of backgrounds, working across our 5 sites.
Each year we support over 2000 children, young people and their families through an array of services, including: Young Carers’ Services, Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Services, Youth Employment Services, Youth Work – Social Action and Participation Services and we provide a specialist transport service exclusively for children and young people.

Join our Team
Due to a number of developments we are looking for a team of workers to support young people aged 11 to 18 years to access youth work, informal education and support opportunities. Thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund we have been successful in gaining funding for a project to reduce young people’s social isolation during the ongoing pandemic. This may include online group sessions; small groups work or support children young people accessing transport services. We are looking for 5 motivated, well organised and committed person with a passion and experience in supporting local children and young people to lead the team on a day to day basis.
