Autism support hubs open doors in Newcastle

The North East Autism Hub is opening four face-to-face autism support hubs in Newcastle in partnership with the Great North Children’s Hospital.

These hubs will support Newcastle-based parents and carers of children under seven either pre, during or post-diagnosis of autism.

The hubs will support parents in a variety of ways, including through workshops, one-to-one appointments and drop-in sessions. These sessions will take place at each of the new hubs, located at the Nunsmoor Centre, the Galafield Centre, Byker Sands and the Fawdon Community Building.

The hubs are set to open their doors in August, and sessions can currently be booked until the end of 2021. All sessions take place between 10am and 12 noon. To view available dates and find out more, visit the Healthwatch Newcastle website.
