The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) and Future Health Research have put out a call for evidence to help better understand sustainability in the NHS.
They argue that the current UK healthcare system is unsustainable, particularly in the face of threats such as the climate emergency, anti-microbial resistance, and an ageing population. As we emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic, both want to ensure the NHS is better prepared for the future.
This call for evidence is intended to help IPPR and Future Health Research understand how sustainability can be enhanced in the healthcare system. They want to understand the practical actions the NHS can take to secure sustainability in the short-to-medium term, and believe there are bold and innovative solutions to be found.
Individuals and organisations are welcome to share their evidence, ideas, pilots and products. The call for evidence is open until 6pm on September 29th, and you can take part by filling in a form on SurveyMonkey.
