Community Energy - State of the Sector research 2019
This year’s Community Energy - State of the Sector research is currently underway with their online survey live until Friday 22nd February.
If you are a member of a community energy organisation, please visit Community Energy England’s website and complete the survey.
About the State of the Sector
Building on research carried out throughout 2018, Community Energy England and Community Energy Wales are working to understand the community energy sector throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The research investigates the number, nature, and outcomes of community energy throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Why should I take part?
The State of the Sector 2019 report will help influence government policy over the next 12 months and raise awareness of the importance of community energy. The research will also feed into the ongoing work of Community Energy England and Community Energy Wales, supporting and aiding communities to develop their own low carbon projects.
Who should fill it out?
The survey is aimed at community energy organisations involved in low carbon activities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This includes electricity and heat generation, energy storage, low carbon transport, energy efficiency, demand management and wider low carbon initiatives.
We greatly appreciate the support of every community energy organisation who has previously taken part in our research and their efforts in helping secure the future of community energy in the UK.
This research is being conducted in partnership with Scene, an UK-based community renewable energy consultancy.
