Help VONNE Climate Action Alliance empower non-profits to take climate action

We’re looking for an agency with experience in digital marketing, content design and strategy, an understanding of online accessibility, and community engagement skills to help the VONNE Climate Action Alliance (VCAA) further expand, building an engaged and supportive network across the North East region. 

Following VCAA’s involvement in the Catalyst’s Discovery and Definition programmes, which guided us through creating, testing and improving a prototype website built on insight gained throughout the process to identify and reach key user groups that will use the site and be central to our work, we’ve now been successful in our application for the Catalyst and National Lottery Community Fund’s Covid-19 digital response Development programme, for which we’ll need a partner. 

What we're looking for

The main aim of the VCAA is to help the North East VCSE community to take action against climate change as part of a plan to make the North East Britain’s greenest region. We want to encourage collaboration between VCSE organisations not directly involved in environmental work, that may need help to take climate action, and active climate action groups, whose expertise will help the alliance reach more marginalised communities –  benefitting everyone.  

Using a combination of user testing, interviews, analytics and tone testing, we created something we’re proud of, that has the potential to really help the sector on its climate journey. We hope the successful Development programme partner will enable us to realise this potential by fully developing the site so we can start to build a movement across the sector.  

Our aims include developing a communications and engagement strategy that uses digital tools to grow the network, and making the site fully-functional and accessible, adding features and content such as a map and directory of network members. 

Get involved 

As well as the skills and experience listed above, it would also be great if applicants had experience with user research, visual design, working with WordPress and service design, as well as being a specialist in two-way communication.
