Insight needed: What does well-being mean to you?

The Integrated Care System Prevention Board is looking for your help!

It is currently undertaking research into people's attitudes and behaviours in relation to looking after themselves and any barriers to their self-care. It has devised two short surveys - one for the public - and one for health and care staff, that aim to:

  • Gain further insight into peoples’ attitudes and behaviour in relation to looking after themselves including identifying any barriers

  • Understand how to further enable self-care within the health and care environment

  • Understand how to further influence health and care staff to be ‘health advocates’ by example

  • Inform wellbeing and other communications/campaigns in the context of a changing and evolving health and care system that supports what matters to the person – focusing on wellness, not illness.

If you work in health and social care, you are asked to do three things:

1) Take the health and social care staff survey which should take no more than 10 minutes and can be found at It closes on November 21.

2) Ask your colleagues and teams to do the same

3) Help spread the word about the public survey among those you provide care for and their friends and family, including on social media, asking them to participate in the research. The survey can be taken at and should take no more than 10 minutes. It also closes on November 21.
