The North East Youth Alliance (NEYA which is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund) was formed in 2020 and its aim is simple: to improve services for young people through collaboration. Supporting workforce development is one of the key strands of work being undertaken by the NEYA and significant time has been spent speaking to, and consulting with, the sector regarding what the needs are and where the gaps lie.
NEYA have used all of this information to devise a workforce development offer which provides meaningful opportunities regardless of whether you’re a newly employed practitioner or an experienced senior manager. The offer will support the youth sector to work together towards being stronger and more sustainable and responsive to young people’s needs and wider future challenges.
We are delighted to be able to share with you the North East Youth Alliance Workforce Development Offer: https://online.fliphtml5.com/ovcmf/rkku/?1613660757503#p=1
This is the first regionally co-ordinated workforce development offer of its type and is something that has been shaped by the North East's youth sector for our youth sector. It is a comprehensive offer made possible through a collaborative approach supported by a range of partners with the vast majority of the opportunities being fully-funded through the North East Youth Alliance.
Is it is a programme of support throughout the year, many of the dates for training or workshops are not included in the brochure. To get these in good time, make sure you sign up to the Alliance newsletter by clicking here: https://neya.us10.list-manage.com/subscribe...
Regardless of the role people have in their own organisations, there are a range of opportunities that should provide something of value for everyone. We know this offer is both comprehensive and innovative but also recognise that professional and indeed workforce development is a continuous process, and therefore, we will continue to review and add to this offer when opportunities arise and when new themes are highlighted by the sector.
Whilst we do not have infinite resources, this offer represents more than £120,000 worth of investment into the sector and we will continue to work creatively and collaboratively with partners to maximise the opportunities that are available in order to provide a coordinated and needs led offer for the region. We are delighted to advise that most of these training opportunities are fully funded through the NEYA. The rest of the activity will be offered at bursary rates.
