VONNE is delighted to announce the appointment of Lisa Goodwin as our new Deputy Chief Executive, replacing Carol Botten who takes over the post of Chief Executive when current CEO Jane Hartley steps down in September.
Lisa Goodwin will join VONNE from North Tyneside VODA where she has been Chief Executive for the past eight years. Lisa has worked in the VCSE sector for her whole career, starting at a national arts charity and then moving on to local infrastructure roles in County Durham, before moving to North Tyneside VODA.
“The sector we now work in is so different to the one I first started out in. I've seen first-hand how organisations have had to adapt and evolve to survive, and I've been privileged to be able to support some of them in doing so. I'm delighted to be coming to work for VONNE - an organisation with which I have worked closely for many years. I am really looking forward to moving into a role where I will be working more strategically on a regional basis. I will be focusing on business development and building new partnerships, and I can't wait to get out and meet more of VONNE's members and take forward these areas of work.”
Carol Botten said:
“I am delighted with Lisa’s appointment having worked with her closely over the years. I look forward to welcoming her to the VONNE team and working together to develop and strengthen the VCSE sector in the North East”.
Jane Hartley will continue in her role as health and wellbeing lead in a consultant capacity when she steps down as Chief Executive in September.
Sir Paul Ennals, Chair of VONNE said:
"Jane Hartley has been an inspirational Chief Executive, providing strong leadership for the sector and the organisation. We are delighted to be retaining her involvement with us in her health and well-being role, as we welcome Carol Botten as the new Chief Executive and Lisa Goodwin as the new Deputy Chief Executive”.
