Due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic resulting in hugely different and challenging times, Wallsend Action for Youth (WAfY) have secured Big Lottery funding to facilitate ongoing work and support of children, young people and families across Wallsend.
Growing up in Wallsend supports a digital offer through a web-based online platform. It is intended that this will enhance the face to face work already happening in youth and play work.
The platform will support the following areas:
· LOT 1 - Physical Health – Weekly/daily workout for the whole family
· LOT 2 - Play – Early Years and Families
· LOT 3 - Mental Health & Wellbeing
· LOT 4 - Youth Work
· LOT 5 - Children’s Counselling
· LOT 6 - Online safety for young people
· LOT 7 - Communication & Marketing
· LOT 8 – Parenting
As this is a new way of working WAfY is seeking to gain a more detailed understanding of the supplier market and range of options that may be available through an Expression of Interest in the first instance.
We would welcome organisations who can fulfil one or more of these areas to complete the Expression of Interest and return it to the Chair, Gill Gray (firstname.lastname@example.org) by no later than 9am Monday 3rd August. Please feel free to share with other colleagues who you believe could offer expertise in any of the areas outlined.
We will be back in touch by Monday 10th August detailing any next stages or steps. Contracts will be awarded and the platform launched by Wednesday 19th August 2020.
Should you have specific queries please email Gill Gray email@example.com in the first instance.
