VONNE would like to thank both the County Durham Community Foundation (CDCF) and the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland (CFTWN) for supporting us with funding to help bolster our work on behalf of the wider VCSE sector in the North East.
The grants, from the CDCF as part of the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal (#NETCoronavirusAppeal) and CFTWN's Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund respectively, will allow us to ensure the region's VCSE sector is informed of the latest guidance, policy developments, funding opportunities and lobbying activities regarding the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The funds will also be used to help us run weekly peer support sessions with key individuals across the region, which enable effective information sharing, coordination and joint working between VCSE sector organisations to help lessen the impact of Covid-19 and plan our collective recovery.
We're now working on specific tools and resources for the sector, including cashflow and financial management tools, and our confidential one-to-one advice scheme is up and running. This uses trusted third sector advisers to talk you through the choices you face in key areas, and the ways in which you might approach them through Covid-19.
Open to VCSE leaders across the North East, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your requirements and we can match you with someone to help. A checklist of typical questions and decisions can be found on our website.
