The Council have divided its response into three phases, which seek to counter the protracted impact of Covid-19: • Response phase (March – September 2020) *funding now closed* • Stabilisation phase (Estimated May 2020 – March 2021. The beginnings of this phase overlaps with our response work) • Reset phase (Estimated April 2021 – March 2024)

The Arts Council invests money from Government and the National Lottery to support arts and culture across England. They want to bring great art and culture to everyone, everywhere and achieve this by supporting projects and organisations through a National Portfolio of art organisations (applications now closed) and their other funding programmes including those listed below (check the website for all programmes open and closed, for groups and individuals).

National Lottery Project Grants (formerly Grants for the Arts): for arts, museums and libraries projects - supports a broad range of not-for-profit projects that create and sustain quality work and help people across England to engage with arts and culture.

Developing your Creative Practice: a development fund designed to support independent creative practitioners to ensure excellence is thriving in the arts and culture sector.

Creative People and Places Fund: focuses on parts of the country where involvement in arts and culture is significantly below the national average (based on the bottom 33% of places according to the Active Lives Survey November 2015 to May 2017 - full list on website).

Development Funds - £40m across 669 grants
Music Education Hubs - £75m across 121 grants
