Trustee vacancies at Cygnus Support
About Cygnus Support:
We are a local charity dedicated to improving the mental health & emotional wellbeing of people across Northumberland. Our mission is to empower people to improve their lives by providing counselling, education, and support in their local community.
We need trustees to help make a difference.
Join the trustee board and support the leadership of Cygnus Support to provide a clear strategy for the future.
We need our trustees to attend board meetings every 6 - 8 weeks (currently online but may require in person in Northumberland in the future) to discuss both current performance and the future outlook - and then support the team in ensuring Cygnus delivers the strongest possible service to those who need us most.
We are seeking individuals who can bring a diversity of experiences, insights, and ideas to the wider board and organisation discussions.
Additionally, expertise &/or experience in the following areas would complement the skillset already within the organisation:
- Charity Governance & Secretarial
- Online service delivery
- Volunteer engagement and support
We are very keen to hear from applicants who have experience of Health & Wellbeing Services – both from a delivery and service-user perspective.
What difference will you make:
At a time when mental health services are stretched across both Public and Third Sectors, we have an opportunity to develop a model that can close gaps in provision and reduce waiting times. By giving your time, energy, skills, and experience – you can play a key role in developing our services and improving people’s lives.
If you would like to find out more, then please contact Kay Hussain our Chair of Trustees at email@example.com
To request an application pack please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to interview with two members of the current trustee board.
A current DBS certificate will be required, and references will be taken up prior to appointment.
Many thanks for your interest,
The Trustee Board
