It’s a great time to lead our charity into the next chapter of our story. We are proud of our achievements and of the contributions made by everyone associated with Skills for People. Our current CEO of over 30 years is retiring and we are looking for her successor to sustain and develop our work so we can continue to ensure the people we support have the best possible lives.
We are looking for an inspirational leader who will support the organisation into the next phase of its journey, realising our vision, leading the creation of our next strategic plan. This will require a passionate and knowledgeable leader who is experienced, organised and able to ensure that performance, HR, income generation, financial management, impact recording/reporting, communications and everything else associated with leading the crucial work of our charity is well managed and delivered to the highest standard.
Skills for People is a charitable limited company, which supports disabled people and their families. Since 1983, we have been working across Northeast England and sharing our ideas nationally. Our head office is in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne. We are a friendly and caring place to work, offering flexible working and a supportive environment that encourages skills development and team working.
We help disabled people and their families with information, guidance, and support. We support people to be strong, independent and included in their communities through a broad range of activities. We protect the rights of disabled people and their families through our influence and awareness raising.
