We are delighted to offer this 20-hour-a-week appointment at our Community Café. The appointed person is required to manage our Community Café and a team of volunteers, providing a warm, friendly, and quality service to local people at affordable prices. We are also able to provide free food and hot drinks thanks to our many sponsors who value our work. You will be working in our newly refurbished kitchen with the following key responsibilities:
- Provide good quality food with consideration of healthy options on our daily lunch service and one evening a month to enable local families to eat out in the current cost of living crisis.
- Manage a team of volunteers assisting in the café, some of whom have additional needs.
- Follow food hygiene rules and legislation and our Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- Order and keep track of stock and equipment at the best possible prices.
- Undertake daily and weekly balancing of the cash till.
- Deliver or source appropriate training for volunteers.
