Children North East is a large North East based children’s charity that works across the region, with some work extending across England, Wales and Scotland. We exist because growing up can be hard. We want all babies, children and young people to be happy and healthy, and to grow up feeling safe and loved, resilient to the challenges they may face, and valued and confident.   

Children North East have developed a range of training tools to support a wide range of professionals and children and young people that have been uniquely developed by the operational teams across the organisation to develop the workforce, support children and young people during difficult periods in their lives and to influence those in positions of power to listen to the lived experience of those we work with to fundamentally make positive moves toward permanent change within systems.

Much of the training we deliver is part of a contractual arrangement between ourselves and organisations.  We want to explore and expand how we can crucially ensure that there is access to this training to a broader range, we want to do this by exploring and developing:

Annual packages of training

Developing and refining our packages of training to the organisations we are contractually obliged to deliver training to

This role is 18.5 hours per week and will join the newly developed Operations Development team who are focused on the reach and growth of our services.  This role will support the training strand of this newly developed team.  As part of the role, the training coordinator will also deliver training as and when needed/appropriate.
