Action Foundation is an award-winning charity that supports and empowers asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in the North East to overcome immediate barriers, integrate with the community and build skills for the future.
We are looking for a competent and enthusiastic handyperson to join our Accommodation Services team. The successful applicant will complete low level repairs and maintenance tasks to help provide a high-quality service to our clients, living in 18 properties across Newcastle and Gateshead.
The role will involve carrying out responsive and planned handyperson tasks in our domestic properties. This could include small pieces of joinery work, painting and decorating, furniture assembly and gardening.
We’re looking for a helpful and friendly team player who is motivated, reliable and trustworthy.

Essential information
Hours: 21 hours per week.
Salary: £21,516 – £26,227 pro rata plus 6% pension contribution pro rata.
Annual leave: 28 days + English Bank Holidays pro rata.
Contract: Fixed term six months with the intention of extending.
