We are currently looking to recruit a proven Manager for our warm, friendly and welcoming children’s care home where our dedicated and stable staff team always strive to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in which our young people can thrive. As our Registered Manager it will be your responsibility to effectively manage all aspects of the general day-to-day operations of our Home in line with Children’s Home Regulations and Quality Standards. Most importantly we want you to ensure through your passion and leadership that the culture we have established continues to provide care that is therapeutically informed and of the highest quality so that our young people are kept safe, and their overall wellbeing continues to be promoted and supported. Your oversight and management will be key to ensuring our young people experience the best possible outcomes while they are in our care, and beyond.

Key responsibilities include: -
- Lead, manage and oversee the day to day running of the home in line with Regulations and Standards
- Ensure the highest standards of care
- Excellent safeguarding practice that keeps young people safe and take swift appropriate action when safety is at risk
- Lead and motivate a child-centred staff team
- Put the best interests of our young people at the heart of all decision making
- Ensure policies are adhered to
- Effective liaison with all key professionals in pursuit of best outcomes for young people
Working hours:
A flexible approach to meet the needs of the service is required, however working hours will predominantly be Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5pm plus being part of an on-call rota for which an allowance will be paid
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a children’s residential home setting, at a senior level within the last 5 years at least one year of which as Deputy or Registered Manager.
- NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children’s Services) or the ability to complete the qualification within 18 months
- NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Services
