This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sunderland Voluntary Sector Alliance. Our main purpose is to support and grow a strong, vibrant, and accessible voluntary sector which both influences as well as supports delivery of key services to improve outcomes for residents in Sunderland.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team and work to support the voluntary and community sector across the city.

We offer flexible working with a hybrid model combination of office-based, community and homeworking arrangements.

Voluntary Sector Development Worker

37 hours per week

Salary: £30,000

1 year fixed term contract with potential for extension pending additional funding.

Main Duties

As a Voluntary Sector Development Worker, you will work as part of a small busy team. The post holder will support and collaborate with the VCSE sector across the city. Applicants must be self-motivated and able to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities. A strong customer focus with good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
