VONNE is seeking an individual with a passion for environmental action and the ability to be a positive ambassador, building relationships with key stakeholders to deliver Phase 2 of our Going Green Together programme.

Going Green Together is a unique support programme, helping voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across the North East to become environmentally sustainable and get involved in climate action. We’ve helped over 200 organisations so far through our pilot scheme and are delighted to have been funded by The National Lottery through The National Lottery Community Fund, Point North Community Foundation, and Tees Foundation, to expand and continue our work.

Voluntary Organisations’ Network North East (VONNE) is the regional support body for the VCSE sector, and Going Green Together supports our vision to be a source of expert information, knowledge and support for the sector. We’re looking for someone who shares this vision to join our team and help our sector become a power for positive change in the space of environmental sustainability.

Through this dynamic and people-orientated role, you’ll be working closely with the Project Officer and our partners to communicate with our participants, plan and deliver events, support the project’s administration and monitoring, and provide one-to-one environmental support for the diverse range of charities, community groups, and other grassroots organisations who are helped by our project.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with key stakeholder and be a positive ambassador for the project and VONNE across the region
  • Working with key partners to coordinate a programme of project activities
  • Deliver one to one support for project participants 
  • Carrying out the delivery plan with regular review and work with partners to refine and adapt as needed 
  • Contribute to the development of the project communications and marketing strategy and corresponding collateral and materials 
  • Promotion of the project and support the offer to VCSE organisations across the North East
  • Organise and facilitate meetings of the VCAA and engage new members into this network 
  • Managing the project budget and contracting arrangements 
  • Development and delivery of the events programme 
  • Coordinate and deliver the production of toolkits and resources
  •  Coordinate and deliver the further development of Going Green Together website working with our delivery partners 
  • Ensure that monitoring processes are established and carried out across the project and collaborate with external consultant to evaluate the programme
