Reporting to: Canon for Worship & Congregation Life
Hours of work: 15 hours per week (annualised).
Salary: The salary is £13,090 pro rata (£16.78 per hour, £32,725 per annum FTE).
This role is offered on a 3-year fixed-term contract
As Learning Officer, you will play a vital role in shaping the way children and young people encounter the Cathedral – not simply as a historic building, but as a living place of worship, belonging and transformation. This is a creative and mission-led role, sitting at the heart of the Cathedral’s commitment to education, outreach and discipleship.
The post holder must be in sympathy with the aims and ethos of the Church of England and must also fully support the values of Newcastle Cathedral.
