We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team to provide integrated support for economically inactive residents in the Hirst area of Ashington, to move towards work, education or training.
This role will engage with beneficiaries to provide individually tailored support enabling them to build personal transferrable skills and improve their mental health and wellbeing as part of a journey towards and into sustained training and the world of work as part of a new Economic Inactivity Trailblazer. This is a programme that helps people who are currently out of work because of health issues. It brings together health, employment, and skills services so that people get joined-up support to improve their wellbeing and move back into work when they’re ready.
Life Mentor/Employability Coach (up to 35 hours per week – part time and job sharing will be considered)- £26,641 pa (pro rata for part time)
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced person to come into this exciting pilot project and put their mark on it and be part of making it a success
As the Life Mentor/Employability Coach for this new and exciting project, you will be working alongside our Community Links Social Prescribing team. You will play a key role in developing this project, engaging and supporting a team of beneficiaries.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and develop effective relationships with beneficiaries, community partners and colleagues in Cygnus Support.
