About Mockingbird NEST
Mockingbird, a global award winning and pioneering programme led by The Fostering Network in the UK, delivers sustainable foster care. It is an evidence-based model structured around the support and relationships an extended family provides. The model nurtures the relationships between children, young people and foster families supporting them to build a resilient and caring community. To find out more about Mockingbird you can visit the website and watch this short film.
Mockingbird NEST is part of a series of Mockingbird events that focuses on working alongside the children and young people that live in constellations across the UK. It is a multi-disciplinary arts programme, which offers a safe and playful space for collaboration, experimentation, expression and the development of creative skills. The workshops are delivered regularly, both in person with partner venues across the UK, and online. We deliver 3 in-person and 3 online workshops per year, all taking place on Saturdays.
