NTDF is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced Community Development Worker to join our NTDF team.

As a User Led Charity, the person we appoint will be flexible and cooperative, and be committed to a belief that disability does not mean inability and to that end they need to be passionate about promoting and enabling disabled peoples leadership.

This is a salaried position to 30 hours per week and the post holder will work to service user need hitting the ground running as they join our small staff team and volunteer workforce who deliver our morning, afternoon evening and weekend accessible activities, events and opportunities. From babies to nonagenarians, NTDF offers informal activities around health and wellbeing, leisure and learning, business and enterprise, work experience and employability, information advice and guidance, sports, arts, music and self help groups – horticulture, cookery, accredited learning and more.

People access our services by choice, independently and not by direction.

NTDF are not a care provider and this is not a care position.

The person we appoint will likely be from a community work, social work, education or further education background.
