WHiST (Women’s Health in South Tyneside) was set up in 1986 to “improve the health, wellbeing, education and quality of life of women” living and working throughout the borough of South Tyneside.  The organisation provides integrated holistic services which include supported volunteering opportunities, a counselling service, learning opportunities, self-help groups, exercise sessions, listening ear service, advocacy, drop in coffee bar, services to address the impact of poverty and crisis support.  This is an exciting opportunity within a renowned and respected charity for an enthusiastic candidate committed to women centred provision.

The Fundraising and Insights Lead will play a crucial role in enhancing the financial sustainability of WHiST. We are looking for a candidate with a proactive and innovative approach to fundraising and organisational development, aimed at supporting the CEO to achieve the organisation’s goals. You should have a proven track record in fundraising within the charity sector, preferably in women’s health, social care, or community development.

The post holder will,

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy with clear targets and timelines.
  • Prepare high-quality grant applications and proposals, ensuring they align with funder guidelines and WHiST's strategic objectives.
  • Develop compelling narratives and supporting documentation to demonstrate the impact of WHiST's services.
  • Embed a culture of fundraising and effective storytelling throughout the organisation.
  • In conjunction with project staff, manage grant reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
