As a local charity we are dedicated to improving the mental health & emotional wellbeing of people across Northumberland. Our mission is to empower people to improve their lives by providing counselling, education, and support in their local community.
About this role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced and suitably qualified counsellor to work on our domestic abuse project.
The successful candidate will hold a recognised Foundation Degree or Diploma in Counselling and be accredited or accreditable by BACP or other approved Governing body.
This is an opportunity for the right candidate to join our small team and deliver counselling and support for service users who have been affected by domestic abuse and require counselling.
The following opportunity is now available:
Domestic Abuse Counsellor
• 21 hours per week (working days to be arranged)
• £16,072 per annum (FTE £26,787 pa)
• Delivery will be a blended approach with a combination of remote and in person delivery across the county.
• This is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2026 (with potential for extension subject to funding)
• Starting date asap.
