Location: Remote (occasional in-person meetings)

Contract: Freelance / Associate

Fee: £30-£35 per hour depending on experience.

Expected Commitment (reliant upon funding): 30-60 hours per year (approx. 4-6 p/m for leading IQA responsibilities). Plus portfolio sampling at a rate of 0.5hrs for Level 1 and 1 hour for level 2 and 5.

As a SFEDI-Awards accredited Centre, we deliver high-quality training, qualifications and community-led learning experiences that help people turn ideas into sustainable social impact. We have recently increased our service offer to include Level 1, 2 and 5 qualifications and are building the team and infrastructure to go to market.

The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced IQA to…

  • Support the Centre Lead with system, policy and process development inline with our SFEDI Centre license.
  • Develop and review IQA sampling plans and verify assessment decisions to ensure validity and fairness.
  • Lead standardisation meetings and mentor assessors to ensure the quality and consistency of assessment decisions. This includes leading preparations for SFEDI EQA visits.

Who we’re looking for:

Essential:

  • Level 4 IQA and Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or equivalent).
  • Experience building quality systems and processes in small/startup centres.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and mentoring skills
  • Confident working remotely and managing digital files and records.
  • Alignment with Junction Point CIC values & mission

Desirable:

  • Experience assessing enterprise, business, social enterprise, or VCSE-related provision
  • Experience in upholding award body compliance
  • A working understanding of social enterprise, community business or voluntary sector
  • Familiarity with SFEDI awards and standards

Professional Development & Induction

As part of your induction, successful applicants will complete a full day (paid) induction to review Junction Point CIC’s training materials, assessment procedures and quality expectations. This is also a chance to meet the course assessors and facilitators.
