POST: Community Link Worker
Hours: 37 hours each week, over 5 days.
Salary: Search Salary Scale 12 £26,409 (£13.68 per hour) for a 37-hour week
Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays calculated and paid pro rata
Post holder reports to: Wellbeing Team Lead.

Role Description:
Search play a part in the IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) provision in Newcastle with VHG (Vita Health Group).
The Link Worker employed by Search will be the essential link in the city to Improve access for older people (Aged 50+) to Psychological Therapies. Working directly with Older People you will raise awareness of the benefits of the IAPT service and break down any fears or stigmas that the individuals may have by providing a direct link to support access to IAPT.
The role will also work with referrals from VHG’s IAPT service, linking people into services and community groups that will improve the wellbeing and inclusion of older people. You will build on our the success of our Wellbeing through Connection program, facilitating Wellbeing Groups and supporting Peer Led groups.
In addition to the direct work with VHG and Search the Link Worker will support other Charities and Community Groups by linking them with older people who benefit from their support and promoting the work of the Charities and Community Groups to help with their overall sustainability.
