A bit about the role
We’re looking for an experienced, approachable and flexible HR Officer who’s enthusiastic about helping Newcastle Carers remain a great place to work. You’ll play a key role in supporting our staff so they can continue delivering outstanding service to unpaid carers of all ages across the city.
This is a proactive role within our Finance & HR team, working alongside colleagues who share our values of being empowering, inclusive, people-focused and empathetic. You’ll be involved in a range of HR activities, helping to keep things running smoothly day to day, supporting good practice across the organisation, and contributing to a positive and supportive workplace culture.
The role is based at Newcastle Carers’ office and includes, but is not limited to, the responsibilities and duties outlined in the full job description.
If you’re someone who enjoys working with people, can balance competing priorities, and wants to make a genuine difference in a values-led organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
About you
We’re looking for someone with experience in an HR role and knowledge of current good practice and processes. Good communication skills are essential, as you’ll be supporting colleagues across the organisation and responding to HR queries in a clear, helpful and professional way. You’ll be comfortable using IT, be organised, approachable and confident in handling a varied HR workload.
You’ll have good numeracy skills and be able to work independently and prioritise your own workload.
Don’t meet every single requirement of this role?
If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t quite match perfectly with the job description and person specification, we’d still love to hear from you. You might just be the perfect person we’re looking for, or we may have another role within Newcastle Carers.
