Today the Big Lottery Fund has announced which partnership bids for the first tranche of Building Better Opportunities (their European Social Fund Opt-In programme) will progress to the second stage of the application process. In the North East LEP area, three projects fall within this first tranche:
- Holistic Support for Those Furthest From the Labour Market (Northumberland)
- Holistic Support for Those Furthest From the Labour Market (Durham)
- Multiple Barriers to Employment (Tyne & Wear)
The organisations that have been invited to further develop their applications and partnerships to deliver these programmes are as follows:
Durham - Groundwork North East & Cumbria
Northumberland - Northumberland County Council
Tyne & Wear - Multiple Barriers to Employment - Wise Group and Gateshead College.
As you can see only in Tyne & Wear has more than one applicant progressed to stage two. The four successful applicants will now receive partnership development funding and specific technical support from the Big Lottery Fund and their partners to develop their bid further.
The final Building Better Opportunities project for the North East LEP area, Tyne & Wear - Health Barriers to Employment stage one application window closes on 30th November 2015. Successful applicants progressing to stage two for this project will be announced in Spring 2016.
In the Tees Valley for the programme Holistic Support for Those Furthest From the Labour Market, Northern Inclusion Consortium has be invited to progress their application to Stage Two.
