Comic Relief has launched its refreshed Grants strategy "working towards a world in which all people are safe, healthy, educated and empowered".
This strategy builds upon the experience Comic Relief has gained over the past 30 years. It will continue to fund established partners and projects whilst also supporting new initiatives that will help to drive great ideas and sustainable change both the UK and in some of the world’s poorest communities.
The new strategy will ensure Comic Relief is able to respond to an ever-changing world, maximising impact in the UK and around the world. It will help to achieve a vision of a just world free from poverty, where everyone is safe, healthy, educated and empowered.
Moving forward, all funding will be focused on the following four programme areas:
(1) Building stronger communities to tackle deprivation and poverty
(2) Investing in children and young people to be ready for the future
(3) Empowering women and girls to be free to lead the lives they choose
(4) Improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable and disadvantaged people
