Community Energy England have announced nominations are now open for the 2016 Community Energy Awards. Nominations are made using a simple form, which only takes a few minutes to let them know who you think deserves to win one of the following categories:
Community Energy Saving Project – The community group which has undertaken the most inspiring energy conservation and/or management project
Community Renewable Energy Project – The most commendable sustainable energy generation project undertaken by a community group
Local Authority Partner – The Local Authority which has done most to help local, community energy organisations through partnering, investing or other support
Collaboration Award – The most commendable collaboration between community and commercial / public / third sector partners
Community Energy Funding – The community group and its funders and/or advisers, which have achieved the most inspiring results in bringing investment into the sector
Community Energy Champion – The individual who has done most to advance the community energy sector over recent years.
You are able to nominate yourself, a project, or someone you have worked with who you believe deserves acknowledgment for their work in the field of community energy.
The deadline for pre-nominations is 24 June 2016
If your pre-nomination is shortlisted, we will then contact the organisation or individual to ask for additional information during late June and July.
The ceremony will take place on 3rd September in Oxford, the same day as the CEE conference, and all interested parties are invited to celebrate the achievements made in the sector this past year.
