Groundwork North East & Cumbria is working in partnership with the North East Community Energy steering group to look to develop an outline ERDF bid for the end of May. If successful at this stage a second stage bid would go in September with a three year programme of activity starting from early 2017 onwards.
They are looking at a bid that would provide support to local groups/organisations to develop business models and provide capacity to then enable these groups to implement renewable energy technologies that are classed by ERDF as innovative.
