Tees Valley Combined Authority are pleased to announce that Government has launched a call for Tees Valley projects under the 2014-2020 European Social Fund (ESF) Wheels to Work initiative.
The call is seeking projects that will support Priority Axis 1 of the Operational Programme: Inclusive Labour Markets and Investment Priority: 1.1 Access to Employment for Jobseekers and Inactive People. Approximately £450,000 (60%) of ESF is available and as this is an ‘Open Call’ rather than an ‘Opt-in’ opportunity, the scheme will require match funding of £300,000 (40%) giving an overall programme value of £750,000 to create a ‘Wheels to Work’ scheme across Tees Valley.
Effective transport connectivity is crucial to the future development of the Tees Valley as it will stimulate, support and be a driver of economic growth.
