Join North Tyneside VODA for this free workshop.

This free Basic Life Support course is designed especially for volunteers of small voluntary and community organisations who want to provide first aid in response to an emergency. The half-day accredited course will provide volunteers with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide CPR and to use an AED effectively in emergency situations . 

Robert Chambers of Hadrian Safety Management will guide you through the essentials. 

*** Spaces will be limited to ONE PLACE PER ORGANISATION *** . 

The training will cover: 

  • How to recognise cardiac arrest;
  • How to alert the emergency services;
  • High-quality chest compressions (CPR);
  • Rescue breaths;
  • Defibrillators and how to use them;
  • How to find a Defibrillator;
  • When and how to use an manual and fully automatic Defibrillators;
  • How technology can help;
  • Foreign body airway obstruction;
  • Recovery Position. 

This workshop will take place at VODA's office in Wallsend from 10am to 2pm and is for volunteers who support voluntary and community organisations that are based in North Tyneside, Newcastle and Northumberland.
