Funders Spotlight - The Fore Trust
In our regular feature in the Funding Information North East (FINE) ebulletin we highlight funders' grant giving over the next few months. Subscribe to our FINE Online ebulletin by getting in touch with jen.thompson@vonne.org.uk
A partner of the Big Lottery Fund, The Fore is a collective of individuals, businesses and charities that matches the skills and resources of the business community with social entrepreneurs across the UK. They aim to elevate dynamic small charities with funding and expertise to increase connections, share skills and strengthen society as a whole. Grants of up to £30,000 over one to three years are available, plus business expertise support.
The Fore will fund any organisation that is small (annual income less than £1m) and charitable. Applicants must be UK-registered, but can be charities, community interest companies, or charitable incorporated organisations.
They make unrestricted grants which have the potential to have a transformational impact on an organisation by unlocking exponential growth, sustainability, efficiency or some other major step forward. They see their grants as investments in the organisations they support.
Numbers for each round are capped; registration is run on a first-come, first-serve basis and once the cap is reached, the round is closed. Registration for this round opened 11th December and the preliminary deadline is 8th January.
