Children North East is a large North East based children’s charity that works across the region, with some work extending across England, Wales and Scotland. We exist because growing up can be hard. We want all babies, children and young people to be happy and healthy, and to grow up feeling safe and loved, resilient to the challenges they may face, and valued and confident.
We are looking for a passionate, committed and experienced advocate of babies, children, young people and their families, who is seeking an exciting opportunity to drive forward our internal participation work at Children North East.
The role is 18.5 hours per week and involves ensuring the voices of babies, children, young people and their families are heard and acted upon in helping to deliver our services, increased accessibility and better outcomes, across our entire organisation.
You will join the new Operations Development team who are focused on the reach and growth of our services. Listening to and taking action based on the lived experience of those we work with is an important step forward in creating services that are for those experiencing difficulties. You will have the ability to be able to support and harness their ideas to drive forward our work across the North East and Nationally with our Poverty Proofing agenda
Please note the salary is pro-rated to 18.5 hours per week.
