Location: Northumberland Talking Therapies bases in Northumberland
Hours: Part Time / 1.5 half days per week (11.25 hours)
The post holder will be entitled to 9 days annual leave at normal salary rate or pro rata for part of a year. In addition, a pro rata entitlement to all statutory public holidays will be given at a normal salary rate.
This post may allow for some home working but will also require a regular visible presence in Northumberland Talking Therapies bases and engagement with the clinical and operational management structures of the service.
Job Purpose & General Description:
The post-holder will work within the Northumberland Talking Therapies service, providing Talking Therapies compliant supervision for counsellors working at step 3 of the stepped care model. They will be expected to work as an integral part of the clinical management team in the service. The post holder will be supported by regular supervision and operational line and case management provided by Sunderland Counselling Service.
This will be a permanent position subject to a successful probationary period of six months.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
An enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required for this post.
The post holder may be called upon to use a personal means of transport while engaged in the work of the service for which travel expenses will be available.
