Role description: Senior Project Support

The Project Worker will coordinate and deliver the Disability Heritage in North Tyneside: The NTDF Story project, working 16 hours per week over a 12‑month fixed-term contract. The role involves managing project activities, maintaining records, supporting 10–12 disabled volunteers, scheduling and facilitating around 40 oral history interviews, ensuring safeguarding and GDPR compliance, and overseeing the digitisation and secure management of heritage materials. The postholder will also liaise with partner organisations, monitor project progress, and help ensure all milestones are achieved.

The role also includes supporting the creation of a digital heritage archive, preparing materials for a community exhibition, and contributing to project evaluation and long-term sustainability planning. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting disabled people or community groups, strong organisational and communication skills, an understanding of inclusion and accessibility, and basic digital skills. Experience in oral history, community heritage, archive digitisation, or GDPR-compliant digital storage would be advantageous.
