Voluntary, community and social enterprises in the North East and Cumbria can now access vital training in carbon footprinting, environmental sustainability, and reducing your energy and resource use through Going Green Together's Become Green Together opportunity. This year-long programme provides you with heavily subsidised training, access to tools and resources like the SmartCarbon Carbon Calculator, and a peer support network to help embed sustainability into your workplace and working practises. It's crucial that we work together to create a linked-up approach to the climate emergency, in our communities and our workplaces, to lessen the impact of climate change and ensure the shift to a green future is fair for everyone. Going Green Together was developed by the VONNE Climate Action Alliance to address this need within the VCSE sector, to address barriers such as a lack of knowledge in how to take climate action, and a lack of support in implementing this action. Become Green Together invites 110 organisations to access this knowledge and support, and take part in shaping a more sustainable future, with the help of specialists SmartCarbon and genee. Wherever you are in your environmental journey, we welcome you to take part.
