Deadline for applications: 26th February 2023.
VONNE is pleased to share this exciting opportunity for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations involved in supporting children, young people and families in the North East and North Cumbria.
The North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (NENC ICB) is working in partnership with VONNE and Cumbria Council for Voluntary Service (Cumbria CVS) on a programme of work which seeks to increase the involvement of voluntary and community sector organisations in engaging children and young people in mental health research.
The Research Engagement Network Development (REND) Programme recognises that mental health services for children and young people are experiencing a significant rise in demand across the country, and to help reverse this trend it is essential that we develop a deeper understanding of the diversity of views and the experiences of children and young people, and their families, in our communities.
£64,000 of NHS England funding is available across the North East and North Cumbria to fund up to two VCSE organisations in each of the four Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) areas:
- North Cumbria ICP
- Central ICP (County Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside)
- North ICP (Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland)
- Tees Valley ICP (Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees)
The REND Programme will support awarded VCSE organisations to co-design a programme of engagement with their respective communities and develop an evaluation plan to monitor the outcomes of each approach.
VCSE organisations of all sizes involved in supporting children and young people under 18 years old, and/or their families based in the North East and North Cumbria are invited to apply to help shape and drive forward better research for the region. Tailored support will be available for awarded organisations.
