Team Kenya have built strong relationships with local people and partnership with a local NGO. Together we have transformed the lives of over 5,000 girls and their families in Ndhiwa, rural Kenya.
We educate girls and support them in breaking their cycles of poverty.

Our vision is for every girl in Kenya to have an equal chance to achieve her potential and be free from poverty.
Our mission is to involve entire communities in gender equality, so that girls in rural Kenya can create their own bright futures.
We work with local Kenyan people to educate girls, empower women and transform communities in rural Kenya by adopting a holistic approach.

PRINCIPLED HUMANITARIAN ACTION
In delivering on every mission, Team Rubicon UK adheres to the following principles:

HUMANITY
Human suffering must be addressed wherever it is found. The purpose of humanitarian action is to protect life and health and ensure respect for human beings.

NEUTRALITY
Humanitarian partners must not take sides in hostilities or engage in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.

IMPARTIALITY
Humanitarian action must be carried out on the basis of need alone, giving priority to the most urgent cases of distress and making no distinctions on the basis of nationality, race, gender, religious belief, class or political opinions.

INDEPENDENCE
Humanitarian action must be autonomous from the political, economic, military or other objectives that any actor may hold with regard to areas where humanitarian action is being implemented.

Tees River Rescue is an independent rescue charity based on the River Tees in the North East of England.

As well as providing search and rescue, we patrol the River at peak times throughout the year and provide education, support and reassurance for river users up and down the 26.7 miles of navigable river.

Tees Valley Inclusion Project

The Tees Valley Inclusion Project CIC provides a range of programmes which aims to improve the social, economic and well-being of BME Women and the wider communities across Tees Valley.

The aims of the project, specifically developed to meet the needs of local BME women are to work in partnership to address:-

1. Employment, Education and Training-“Diversity Works Programme”
2. Reducing health inequalities
3. Supporting victims of Honour based violence, Forced Marriages and domestic violence.

Our approach is to work collaboratively with local partners to provide appropriate interventions and offer the support to women and families. The main programme of work will help to meet the needs of BME women and individuals in the Tees Valley area in areas of social and emotional well-being. Our aim is to provide activities and awareness of good health, equality of opportunity and employment initiatives which promote social inclusion whilst recognising cultural diversity.

Providing daytime services to adults at risk of social exclusion - we run lunch clubs across Teesdale, provide activities that are enlivening, informative and supportive, and we support people on a one-to-one basis with everyday issues and make sure they are signposted to specialist help when needed.
