Teesside Lupus Support Group (Charity No. 1209340) is a community-led charity supporting individuals and families affected by lupus across Teesside and the North East. The charity provides emotional support, education, practical guidance, and awareness activities, helping people navigate the challenges of lupus while ensuring no one faces the condition alone. Through meet‑ups, outreach, and public education, the group works to improve wellbeing, reduce isolation, and increase understanding of lupus within the wider community.

The Auckland Project
The restoration, redevelopment and reinterpretation of Auckland Castle is at the heart of a bold heritage-led regeneration project aimed at creating inspiring experiences, learning and opportunities for visitors, volunteers and locals. The lives of the Prince Bishops of Durham will be revealed; the story of the acquisition of the remarkable paintings of Spanish Golden Age Master Zurbarán will be told; and ‘Faith’ – a chronological narrative of how faith shaped the story of everyone within the British Isles – will be explored. The transformation of this 900 year old Bishops’ Palace from little known private dwelling into a major heritage attraction achieving an estimated 150,000 visitors per year, is at the heart of a collection of projects linking the Castle and Market Place that will be a major driver for economic revival and a catalyst of hope, optimism and dynamic growth for the community of Bishop Auckland and beyond.
