SOS was founded in June 2021 by Carrie and Amy. We identified through personal experience, a lack of mental health support for women in our area. The Newton Aycliffe group has run since then. Sisters of support is a peer-led group geared to supporting women (over 18 only) in our community who may be struggling with their mental health or just the everyday pressures of modern living. We are dedicated to providing a safe environment where women can talk, be listened to, without being judged and feel confident enough to share their thoughts, fears and concerns surrounding their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
