Solar Seed Co-operative

Core membership
Bronze membership

Solar Seed Co-operative is a multi-stakeholder community energy co-operative developing renewable energy projects that reduce energy costs, strengthen local communities and accelerate the transition to net zero. We work with charities, schools, sports clubs, community organisations and businesses to deliver fully funded rooftop solar projects through long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), removing the need for significant upfront investment. Alongside project development, we promote community participation through Local Power Clubs, volunteer programmes and educational workshops that raise awareness of low-carbon technologies. We also provide free renewable energy assessments and help connect households and organisations with trusted installation partners. As a co-operative, we reinvest our surplus into developing new community energy projects and creating long-term social, environmental and economic benefits. Our ambition is to build resilient, locally owned energy infrastructure that keeps more value within communities while making clean, affordable energy accessible to everyone.
