Great Park Community Centre is located in the heart of the developing Great Park, Newcastle upon Tyne.

After opening in 2014, the centre has grown and is now home to over various different groups and activities including Plantpots playgroup, exercise classes, baby and children’s groups, and Great Park FC. We also have the Great Park Shake Shack on site providing a range of milkshakes, beverages and snacks. Our facilities are open for all to hire at competitive prices seven days a week.

We are hosts to events, meetings, family gatherings and children's birthday parties. Whatever the occasion, we will do our best to accommodate you and make it an event to remember.

Great Purpose is a community interest organisation based in the Middlesbrough .Our aim is to raise awareness to lifestyle choices and healthy eating in the community. We are focused on tackling obesity, helping people to stay healthy and protecting the community from threats to their health and wellbeing.To ensure health and wellbeing we will include services such as easily accessible support groups, a safe place where the community can get information that is practical, contrastive, and helpful. We aim to give people the opportunity, skills, and confidence to access a healthy diet.

Greater Grimsby Community Power CIC sets out for people of North and North East Lincolnshire to reduce energy costs through generation, harnessing and managing of renewable energy schemes and more efficient use of existing energy supplies whilst at the same time reducing carbon emissions.

The objects of the Co-operative are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to maintain an inclusive community partnership including local residents, locally based community groups and voluntary organisations, local Ward Councillors, Newcastle City Council and other agencies, who together shall initiate or support activities that provide or enable:

(a) A cleaner and well maintained physical environment;

(b) A greener environment that makes the maximum use of flora and fauna;

(c) Effective delivery of public services;

(d) Development of community pride in, and care for, the area and its inhabitants;

(e) A reduction in the carbon footprint of the area by embracing new developments in technology, reductions in fuel poverty, efficiency in energy, environmental education, housing, land use and planning, flood risks and understanding of the impacts of climate change;

(f) Encouragement and promotion of more home food production and related education and training.

Grief Encounter

Grief Encounter was set up in December 2003 to ensure that bereaved children and their
families receive the best possible support following the death of a significant other. We
deliver both local and national bereavement services, including a national helpline and
online service. Our services are free, funded through the generosity of our supporters

Grimsby Community Energy Network

Using a pilot 200kwp solar project on the roof of Freeman Street Market, Grimsby, a spin off GCEN is being formed with first project "20 acres" of rooftop solar on Factory Roofs mainly on Grimsby Docks. Next project is to link in with NELincs Council to cover the area with Community and Local low carbon generation, energy storage and distribution. The USP is to use the excess power generated for the benefit of the Community NOT sending back to the grid.
