Headlight Project

Founded in memory of Russ Devereux, the Headlight Project aims to reduce the number of deaths by suicide in the Tees Valley area through therapy of those bereaved by suicide and preventative education and training.

We offer free counselling and trauma therapy to adults and children as well as group therapy to adults within our service to help support through the trauma of losing a loved one to suicide.

Please note - Headlight Project is not a crisis service, nor can we accept referrals for individuals open to secondary care mental health services.

Headway Darlington & District is a branch of Headway, the brain injury association, a UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury. We were established in June 2013 and opted to register for independent charitable status with the charities commission late 2014.

Our vision is: “Rebuilding lives after brain injury”. We aim to become the service of choice in the Darlington & District area for providing continued support to individuals and families affected by brain injury.

Headway Tyneside employ a community development officer and a clinical services development manager who work with people affected by brain injury to develop services and to raise awareness of brain injury throughout the community.

Healthwatch Darlington is your local independent health and social care champion.
