Women's Workshop
The Women's Workshop is a small woman-led, woman-run community organisation. It was formed in 2005, by women with a commitment to gender equality. We want to promote better outcomes for local women, particularly rurally disadvantaged women. We now have a 15+year track record in addressing gender inequality in rural north Northumberland, through innovative project work, advocacy and training.

Wrekenton Nou Camp YFC
Wrekenton Nou Camp Youth Football Club aims to provide a safe and friendly environment for local young people to play sport. The club has FA charter standard which means trained coaching staff are available to aid young people in football coaching and skills. Boys and girls aged from 5yrs to 18 years of age are involved with 12 teams currently competing across the North East. The Wrekenton area has some of the highest levels of unemployment and poverty in the country, lone parents are above the national average and youth unemployment is very high. Wrekenton Nou camps FC does not discriminate and we welcome all YP irrespective of their skills, ability and background. The club offers reduced subscriptions for families of low income and multiple siblings all playing for the club.

YMCA Newcastle
YMCA Newcastle is an independent charity supporting and helping some of the most vulnerable young people aged 13-25 in the city through a range of services tailored to meet their needs. There are projects in Walker and Newcastle city centre. Our aim is to provide the opportunity, resource and support to enable young people to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence levels to create opportunities for themselves, turn their lives around and become free thinking independent adults.
